Richard DeVaughn is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Arcadia Group International, LLC.  He is a Gestalt Professional Certified Coach and has over 30 years of diversified strategic and operational leadership in world class companies.

Prior to founding The Arcadia Group International, Richard was corporate vice president for Ingersoll Rand Company where he provided strategic and operational leadership and was responsible for global engineering, technology-driven innovation and emerging market product development.  He also held senior leadership positions in engineering, R&D, manufacturing operations, strategic planning and business development with Ford Motor Company, Textron and The Stanley Works. 

A recognized thought leader, Mr. DeVaughn has been a proactive member of the Engineering, Research and Development Council of the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI) and a member of the Corporate Executive Board's Research, Technology and Engineering Council.  

Mr. DeVaughn is former Chairman of the Board of Trustees and leader of the Executive Committee for the Deaconess Foundation.  He has previously served on the board's Investment Committee, Grants & Programs Committee and chaired the Search Committee that successfully replaced the retiring foundation President and Chief Executive Officer. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for LOFA Industries Inc., an Atlanta based diversified manufacturing company specializing in advanced engine control technology.  

Mr. DeVaughn holds a Master of Science degree from Massachusetts  Institute of Technology (MIT) where he attended as an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow and a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University).  

Mr. DeVaughn is a Gestalt Professional Certified Coach and a member of the Executive Leadership Council and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).  He resides in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. 

Ajay Garg

Ajay Garg has 28 years of engineering, operations, and innovation leadership experience which includes 7 years as an ex-pat in Asia Pacific. Mr. Garg is skilled in disruptive innovation and new product development in the industrial and consumer products space in emerging and global markets.  He has a successful record of leading large technology teams and delivering market differentiating multi-million dollar growth platforms with speed.  He has extensive experience in leading functional teams across engineering, product management, supply chain, operations and services. Ajay has authored eight technology papers and holds four US patents.

Mr. Garg has "established and led" 5 offshore R&D centers: 2 in China and 3 in India.  He has held positions of increasing responsibility from Senior Engineer to Vice President of Engineering and has led up to 150 employees with an operating budget of $20M US equivalent. Under Ajay’s leadership, his teams have developed and released 30 new products to market.  Ajay has traveled extensively worldwide and has business experience in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America.  Ajay has a broad business perspective with assignments in R&D, Product Design, Advanced Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Reliability & Quality, & Services with Colfax, Diebold, Ingersoll Rand, Stanley Works & Dresser-Rand.

Mr. Garg has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marine College, India.  He also has a Graduate Management Certificate from Alfred University.  He is fluent in English, Hindi and Mandarin and resides in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. 

Ryan Goldsberry

Ryan Goldsberry has spent more than twenty years delivering profitable revenue growth, cost reductions, and world-class delivery in businesses ranging from $5M-200M in revenue.  As Managing Director of Arcadia Business Solutions, he is responsible for developing client growth strategies, improving their profitability, and creating a pipeline of strategic acquisition candidates.

Mr. Goldsberry’s work experience includes corporate and operational turnarounds as well as many innovative new product introductions. Prior to joining The Arcadia Group International, Ryan was responsible for several $100M+ P&Ls and has held senior functional roles at Ford, Honeywell, Ingersoll Rand, Compaq/HP, Lockheed, Bain & Company and Deloitte. 

Mr. Goldsberry has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University, a Master’s in Manufacturing Systems from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Stanford University. He lives in the Charlotte, NC area.    

D. Oscar Groomes

Managing Director, Arcadia Acquisitions & Ventures

D. Oscar Groomes trained as a metallurgical engineer, physicist and materials scientist.   He joined General Electric in 1984 in the engineering management program, and worked in ever-more challenging and responsible roles during his 20 years with that company.  In 2002, Mr. Groomes was named president and chief executive officer of GE Rail Services in Chicago, Illinois, where he led a $1 billion rail car leasing business.   Prior to that post, Mr. Groomes served as the president of GE Specialty Materials where he was responsible for the $200 million plastics additives business in Europe, Asia and South America.

In 2004 Mr. Groomes was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Almatis GmbH, a global leader in full-line, high performance specialty alumna products headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany.  Almatis, formerly Alcoa World Chemicals, was acquired a year earlier by Rhone Capital in a leveraged buyout.   Mr. Groomes retired from Almatis after positioning it for a successful sale in December 2007.  

Mr. Groomes currently provides consulting services to small and developing companies.  He also lectures on international business and sits on the boards of Robert Family Holdings where he served as acting CEO; Schramm, Inc.; Legacy Resources; and Secure Origins.  He is a retained adviser for GenNx360, a mid-market B2B private equity firm. 

A native of New York, New York Mr. Groomes graduated magna-cum-laude with a bachelor's degree in physics from Tougaloo College. He also holds a bachelor's degree in materials science engineering from Brown University and a master's degree in metallurgical engineering and materials science from Carnegie-Mellon University.  He resides in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. 

Martha Lloyd

Managing Director, Arcadia Client Business Development

Martha Lloyd brings over 25 years of strategic planning and business development experience to The Arcadia Group International working closely with a varied customer base across diverse markets. Her experience includes domestic and international senior leadership positions responsible for building and managing teams for large system integrations and vendors including L-3 Communications, Cisco Systems, Unisys Corporation, and Computer Sciences Corporation. 

 Ms. Lloyd's key areas of expertise are:

Ms. Lloyd is also Principal Consultant of StratPaths, Inc., an Arcadia Group Alliance Partner, and assists clients in the implementation of successful strategic business development life cycles and directing resources.  Those efforts include identification and quantification of opportunities and the research, analyses and measurable outcomes to support the end product or results.

Ms. Lloyd earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and her Executive MBA from the University of Maryland.  She currently holds an active top secret clearance.
